In December, EDM  (Entrepreneurs du Monde), an International French NGO and some Filipino started the exploratory talk to create SEED.



SEED was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit organization on 17 June 2005

SEED started its operations in Bacoor by September.



Establishment of Rosario and Cavite Branches.



Tanza Branch was established.

Methodology focused on the 4-weeks savings deposit requirement, individual loans, over the counter (OTC) payments and co-makers.



SEED developed and offered three loan products (Binhing Pag-Asa, Binhing Pagbabago and Binhing Pagunlad).

Changes in methodology focused on having three collection process (individual daily collection, group collection and OTC) were effected.

Socio – Economic Services were offered focused on Skills Training, Business Pulongs and quarterly Issue-Based Community Workshops.



Rosario Branch was merged with Tanza.

The methodology evolved to implementing both individual loans with purely OTC payments and group collection. 

Offered Medical Missions in Bacoor, Cavite City Tanza branches.



Established Tagaytay Branch.

Partners’ satisfaction survey, social performance indicator audit as well as poverty assessment tool were implemented.



Constitution of a new Board of  Trustees done. 

Consultations for  the change of methodology took place focusing on adopting the ASA methodology.



The implementation of the improved ASA methodology took place as guided by EdM.
